We’re hiring for a skilled Production Operative to join a family-oriented manufacturing business based in Bury, Manchester. Operating for more than 100 years, this company have employee wellbeing at the forefront of what they do. Joining a team of 25, you’ll be supported by long standing employees as you work together to achieve production targets.

What will you be doing as a Production Operative?

  • Measuring materials needed for production, using tablet for reference to maintain high quality standards on colour mix
  • Unloading cooled products, trimming, drilling, fixing other hardware to products
  • Loading mix into moulds and preparing for next load
  • Working as a team to maintain production rates and quality standards
  • Tool changeovers when needed and keeping your area clean and tidy

What do you need?

  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a production / manufacturing environment
  • An understanding of Safe Manual Handling Practices as heavy lifting is required
  • You must be comfortable working in a warm environment
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential
