JOB TITLE: Production Manager

LOCATION: Glasgow Factory G33

CONTRACT: Permanent Full Time

THE ROLE

ZONE are a Blinds and Curtains company with branches in Glasgow and Wishaw. We manufacture most of our own products such as Window Blinds, Curtains, Pelmets and other Soft Furnishings. We sell all across Central Scotland and customer satisfaction is our core value.

We are looking for a Production manager to manage a team of around 10 staff and meet the high-quality standards expected by our customers, within expected budget and time frames. You must strive for excellence, and excel in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and organising production schedules to ensure orders are delivered on time
  • Managing a hard working and dedicated team.
  • Ensuring all products meet established quality standards with rigorous checks and ensuring all child safety laws are adhered to.
  • Allocating resources across workflows to ensure minimum wastage and strengthen profit margins
  • Ability to manage stock quantities of products and components to ensure efficient ordering process and to undertake weekly stock checks
  • Offering suggestions for efficiency improvements as part of the overall business strategy
  • Enforcing all health and safety regulations and training staff when necessary
  • Overseeing the selection and maintenance of production equipment
  • Providing regular updates and reports for senior management.

Location & commitments

  • Permanent, full-time position
  • Based in East End of Glasgow
  • Some travel required when meeting with suppliers, customers and visits to our other branches.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience working as a production manager.
  • Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
  • Experience managing teams, including onboarding, training and performance management
  • Essential Experience using Tablets, Software, MS Office including Excel and Word. Holding training sessions using projector and slide shows.
  • Excellent analytical skills and commercial acumen
  • Experience in Stock control and improving efficiency
  • Able to produce cost breakdowns for each of our products including controlling labour costs.

SALARY INFORMATION

  • Starting Salary of £30,000 per annum

HOURS OF WORK

You will work Monday to Friday between the hours of 7.30am to 5.00pm.
