Product Manager – Upper Extremities (UK & Ireland)

Job Description:The Product Manager’s responsibilities will include being the go-to product expert supporting clinical, technical and commercial discussions. You will represent the company to the highest standard and will be customer facing to distribution partners, clinicians and KOLs.

We are seeking a Product Manager with demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and the talent to influence internal and external stakeholders. This national role covers an extensive product portfolio and the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies within various product groups, to drive product adoption, customer engagement and revenue growth. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales and marketing to create compelling marketing strategies and a best in class medical education program to engage our customers. This role requires a deep understanding of the extremity market, competitive landscape and customers to ensure we meet and exceed our customer and sales teams needs, whilst delivering on our financial commitments. This is an exciting brand-new position within Osteotec that provides a real opportunity to make a significant impact, in a fast paced and growing business.

Reporting To: UK and Ireland Sales & Marketing Director

Location: Remote 40%, Travel 60% (estimated)

Responsibilities:

With the direction of the Sales & Marketing Director the Product Manager will:

  • Be the product expert for the upper extremities product portfolio, there will also be a requirement to develop knowledge within other product specialities.
  • Gather and collate competitive information to drive market insights and understand the validity and reliability of market research results.
  • Attend all required meetings/events, operating theatre cases and sales/marketing meetings.
  • Develop and execute on marketing strategies within the upper extremity portfolio.
  • Develop a comprehensive medical education strategy and program for both customers and the sales force.
  • Take responsibility for product training and relationship-building with KOLs/clinicians.
  • Gather market intelligence through field visits with the sales force and customer visits.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and operations to review inventory performance and ensure optimal performance from kits.
  • Report to the senior leadership team on project updates and market updates.
  • Strives to think of new and innovative solutions to problems encountered and make recommendations accordingly.
  • Collaborate with other members of the team (Finance, QARA, Legal) to assist in project delivery.
  • Support international and global distribution partners on an ad hoc basis as directed by the Sales & Marketing Director.

Requirements/Experience:

  • Ability and willingness to travel (40%-60%).ESSENTIAL
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related discipline would be beneficial.
  • A marketing qualification would be looked upon favourably but not essential.
  • 5+ years medical device or marketing experience preferred.
  • Ideally product knowledge in the upper extremity market.
  • Demonstrated project work that delivered a tangible and beneficial outcome.
  • Experience of developing and executing on medical education programs.
  • Experience of delivering training to customers and sales teams.
