Personal assistant required for a six-year-old boy with autistic traits and sensory differences who lives in Redruth.

He is looking for someone he can build a trusting relationship with and who can provide him with some regular one-to-one support.

A personal assistant would support him to safely explore the local community and help him to regulate his emotions with sensory activities.

He loves being outdoors, especially exploring the woods, visiting the beach and going swimming.

Hourly rate: £11.50 per hour plus mileage and expenses.

Five hours per week are available, although this is very flexible. Some weekends and school holiday availability will be required.

Car driver and access to own vehicle is desirable but not essential.

Some knowledge or personal experience of working with young people with SEND is a distinct advantage.

The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All offers of employment will be subject to the successful candidate undertaking an enhanced DBS check; this administration process will be undertaken by Cornwall Council.
