Job description

Seasalt is a modern Cornish company with an ambitious vision. As a successful omnichannel retailer spanning over 70 shops, 400 wholesale stockists and online, we’re always challenging ourselves to think creatively and innovate.

Our Distribution Centre, based in Redruth, Cornwall, is the hub of our business. As Logistics Analyst, you will be responsible for DC analysis, forecasting and driving improvements across the DC and wider areas in the business. You’ll also apply influence and support decision making through the analysis of complex issues.

You’ll work collaboratively with the wider teams across the business, including Merchandising and Supply Chain, and provide business analytical advice and guidance at all levels of the business.
You’ll use the business systems reporting tool (Pyramid) to build reports as required by the DC and deliver clear and concise training to the teams that use the reports.

Please note this role is primarily based in one of our head office locations (Falmouth or Redruth) with occasional remote working.

You’ll help us by:

  • Critically evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, reconciling conflicts, drilling into high level information to get to the detail, obtaining an overall understanding and identifying the true underlying needs
  • Developing project scopes and timelines for all reports
  • Advising on changes needed to gain correct data
  • Identifying opportunities for business improvements/efficiencies through practical management solutions, working with the business to develop improvement and monitor benefits realised
  • Producing detailed business process maps including workflow charts and diagrams
  • Proactively communicating and collaborating with external and internal customers to analyse information needs and functional requirements
  • Working with system implementers to ensure our business process requirements are met by new systems and propose alternatives if required
  • Recommending controls by identifying problems and writing improved procedures
  • Supporting the end user during the transition process to the new ways of working
  • Providing support to DC Managers by monitoring activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, and recommending actions

The skills you’ll be sharing with the team:

With experience in analysing data to draw business relevant conclusions, you will be able to operate with autonomy and manage your own time and priorities. You’ll be highly organised, have excellent planning skills and good attention to detail.

Problem solving and analysis skills are a must, along with strong communication skills. You will be credible and be able to create clarity.

Please note, you may need to work additional hours and away from home when required by the business.
