We are looking for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to provide 3rd line Technical Support to the business and manage project deliverables in line with project plans.

About you

We are looking for someone who has significant experience in a 3rd line role.

You will also have the following skills and experience:

• In-depth Active Directory Administration experience
• Demonstrative ability to troubleshoot Windows 10 enterprise workstation and Windows Server platform 2012/2016/2019/2022
• Knowledge and experience of managing Wide Area Networks or SD WAN
• In-depth experience of installing/building and supporting VM’s, Server and PC
• Backup Management (experience of Veaam or another backup technology)
• Strong fundamental troubleshooting skills with the ability to apply those skills to assist troubleshooting on a wide range of information systems and applications
• Familiarity with computer technologies, network environments and activities
• Knowledge of VMWare ESX virtual infrastructure
• Experience designing IT systems for new requirements
• Experience writing technical documentation.
• Experience writing IT system processes
• Sound communication and stakeholder skills – able to build relationships and influence

The role

You will be involved in the following:

• Completing individual project deliverables within time scales set in the project plan
• Providing expertise while working with users to establish and meet business needs
• Providing technical solutions to business requirements
• Contributing to the development of appropriate system architectures in specific business, infrastructure or functional areas. selecting appropriately from predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches, and ensures they are applied effectively
• Undertaking impact analysis on system design changes and major design solutions
• Providing advice and guidance on the application and operation of physical, procedural and technical security controls
• Identifies operational problems and contributes to their resolution and managed in accordance with agreed standards and procedures
• To arrange for external technical support with 3rd party suppliers where problems cannot be resolved in house

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to £42,000.00 per year
