Position Overview

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a EHS Manager Services Europe to join us. You will take responsibility for deployment and monitoring of strategic EHS activities whilst implementing the organisation’s EHS policies and collaborating with customer EHS needs.We are offering this role on a Full Time permanent basis.

You will workMonday to Friday,core hours. You will be working from home and you may be required to travel to both Avantor offices and customer locations inside and outside of Europe.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Implements and monitors the strategies necessary to minimize the number of occupational injuries and illnesses in the services business
  • Conducts and coordinates compliance audits, ensures the appropriate actions are taken to resolve audit findings, and implements the programs prevent future recurrence.
  • Works with senior business leads, frontline associates and customers to create and monitor safe working environments for onsite services.
  • Will be the central escalation and go to person for the organisation’s senior leadership team for EHS subject matter expertise
  • Support observation and incident investigation activities ensuring compliance to company policy and local regulations.
Experience Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical/science discipline
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience (10+ years if degree is in non-technical/non-science field)
  • 3+ years leadership experience
  • Strong working knowledge of operational and technical issues and concepts, and an understanding of the associate EHS requirements
  • Experience of operating in a collaborative customer facing EHS role
