Pay Rate: £13.14 per hour (assignment rate)

Contract: Locum, 3-Months

Duties:

• Drive a vehicle carrying passengers who may have learning disabilities, other cognitive impairments, and physical and sensory impairments, to and from school or college, day centres or other venues
• Be the responsible person for the condition of the vehicle on a day-to-day basis
• Work in accordance with our safeguarding policy
• Work as part of a team in order to deliver an outstanding service to our communities
• Moving and handling e.g. assisting people to walk, pushing of a wheelchair and use of a vehicle tail lift
• Be a positive role model in your interactions with children and adults using the service

Requirements of the Driver:

• Willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check
• Be familiar with, and adhere to, the values and be compliant with key regulations i.e. Health and Safety/Safeguarding, standards and procedures
• Be physically able to undertake all the required aspects of the Driver role
• Be able to work as part of a committed and dynamic team to achieve the shared goal of delivering consistent and outstanding service
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills in order to record and document such as completing defect books and incident report forms
• Valid UK driving licence
• Category D1 or PCV driving licence - Desirable
