Job description

With our customers at the heart of everything we do we are committed to growing responsibly and as part of that growth we now have a vacancy for Warehouse Assistants to join us in our Stock Control team in our distribution centre situated in Redruth, Cornwall.

Within this role you will be responsible for the efficient picking and packing of orders/replenishment requests, assist in any warehouse operation required to meet dispatch targets and ensure all tasks are effectively carried out and completed on time.

Shifts will be 14:00pm-22:00pm, either between Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday. The hourly rate of pay is £10.30 per hour.

You’ll help us by;

  • Picking stock for despatch through our Retail, Online and Wholesale channels making sure to be in line with department target picking times
  • Checking picked stock for errors before despatch
  • Assisting in unloading and checking in new deliveries
  • Checking and despatching online orders, ensuring accuracy and speedy delivery to our customers
  • Moving and condensing stock to maximise space and increase efficiency
  • Replenishment of stock from bulk locations to pick face
  • Receiving, checking and processing online returns

The skills you’ll be sharing with the team;

We are looking for someone that has a keen eye for detail and is an excellent communicator. Working to tight deadlines and being in a faced paced team environment is essential to this role. Experience of working in a warehouse environment, or similar, would be preferred.

We are looking for someone with good planning and organisational skills, and your ability to manage your own tasks and make decisions would be advantageous. If you are self-motivated, enjoy using your own initiative and enjoy working as part of a team, this is the role for you.
