The Purpose of the Compliance Engineer at the GSK Worthing manufacturing site is to champion the Quality Management System and EHS (Environment Health & Safety) framework (embedding quality and safety management principles within the Engineering department and across the site).

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Drive compliance with the Quality Management Systems and Safety systems within Engineering.
  • Processes include but are not limited to: audits, deviation and CAPA management, QMS implementation and compliance, Change control, Engineering Alerts, safety incident reporting, risk assessments.
  • Provide a strong link between Engineering, QA and the Safety department.
  • Drive compliance with Quality and Safety metrics and ensure data is collated and reported in a timely manner.
  • Support the management for Quality and Safety meetings and Risk/ Audit meeting processes by taking an active role in defining the agenda, monitoring attendance and chairing the meetings when required. This includes taking meeting minutes and managing the action logs.
  • Maintain the Engineering risk management process, including management of the risk log ensuring risks are scored, escalated and tracked in line with procedures.

About You:

This role would suit a self-motivated individual who has strong experience of working in a Pharmaceutical manufacturing and packing (processes & systems) environment. You will be an engineer (HNC/HND or Degree-qualified) with strong relevant experience. We are seeking a strong people-person, capable of empowering and developing team-members, as well as improving knowledge and capability across the site. You will be resilient and calm. Strong interpersonal and influencing skills are considered important to the role and you will also have a strong continuous improvement approach.

About Worthing Manufacturing Site:

Manufacturing at the Worthing site is for antibiotics. It is advised that you take this into consideration when deciding to apply for this position.

Basic Qualifications / Experience:

  • Relevant manufacturing experience acquired from a highly regulated technical industry.
  • Qualifications in Engineering discipline (or strong equivalent experience).
