We’re recruiting for Community Managers to join the Asda marketing team, you’ll work alongside managers within the social team, and planners across Media, Trading, Campaign and Content teams. You’ll be responsible for organising and understanding key information that help us drive our plans. Your core responsibility is engaging with our community on a variety of platforms, ranging anywhere from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Tik Tok etc.

“Find your role”

As a Community Manager, as well as developing a robust community management strategy, working in tandem with the social and content team leads, you’ll:

  • Proactively identify and engage in authentic conversations and communities, enhancing our online presence
  • Have a customer-first mindset, emphasising exceptional customer experiences and displaying a keen interest in the retail sector
  • Ensure tone of voice is adhered to in all external communications , aligned with brand guidelines
  • Cultivate brand advocacy by formulating and leading a strategic approach, converting customers into loyal brand enthusiasts
  • Collaborate with in-house social media analyst to define KPI’s, produce reports, highlighting trends and discussions for responsive social engagement
  • Spearhead our User-Generated Content (UGC) strategy, identifying its value across various channels, including dot.com, email, and product pages
  • Explore and connect with new communities, expanding brand and product awareness within untapped audiences
  • Utilise Khoros to monitor and report on community trends and engagement insights, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of social media dynamics.
  • Develop an in-depth comprehension of our social media audiences, tailoring content and engagement strategies to their preferences and behaviours to drive growth
  • You will be a key business partner working alongside head office and operational teams throughout the organisation to ensure we are effectively managing HS&E risks across all business activities.
  • Keep abreast of competitor activities, providing actionable insights and recommendations based on trends and test results

  • You’ll be passionate and excited about all things social and doing the right thing for our customers as well as being organised, passionate and excited about social media.
  • You’ll be naturally inquisitive, with a strong understanding of how to read and interpret data
  • Have excellent knowledge of social media tools and trends and can provide constructive suggestions to team members that help them understand how their content is performing
  • Demonstrate your experience in a social media role, with a focus on community engagement, either in-house or within an agency and interest in the retail/FMCG sector
  • Adept copywriting skills
  • Genuine passion for social media, content creation, influencer marketing and writing/storytelling
  • Strong awareness of social media trends, platforms, and best practices, coupled with an understanding of varied customer channel preferences and content consumption habits
  • Proficient in using social listening platforms and social media management tools, such as Khoros
  • Ability to prioritise a customer-centric approach, initiating meaningful conversations and establishing connections with diverse audiences
  • Proven experience supporting the creation of robust community management strategies, with appropriate measurement framework
