Job Title: Assembly Fitter

Location: Wolverhampton

Pay Range/details: Competitive salary

A leading aerospace manufacturer are currently recruiting for an experienced Assembly Tester to join their thriving manufacturing facility in Wolverhampton. The successful Assembly Tester will work in fitting/testing area, being involved in a range of tasks including measurement and use of measuring equipment, micrometres, Vernier callipers and Height Gauges.


Key Responsibilities – Assembly Fitter

  • Work in fitting/testing area, being involved in a range of tasks including measurement and use of measuring equipment, micrometres, Vernier callipers and Height Gauges
  • Capable of reading and understanding drawings and work instructions.
  • Operate within a busy assembly and test area maintaining high standards of build quality necessary to meet customer demand.
  • Adapts lean principles in line with Moog principles.
  • Quality – Adherence to all relevant quality standards and have a working knowledge of them
  • Able to work on own initiative or as part of a team
  • The ability to follow technical documentation including standard operating procedures, data cards, process specifications and reports.


Qualifications & Requirements – Assembly Fitter

  • Apprentice trained or equivalent
  • Previous experience of engineering/manufacturing role, ideally within aerospace or related industry
  • Good knowledge of assembly and test manufacture
  • Can work independently and as part of a team
  • Have a working knowledge of Continuous Improvement
