An exciting opportunity has arisen for a backshift (Monday – Thursday) Wet Process Operator (Level II) to join our well-established medical device company located in Livingston, Scotland. The position will be appointed on a permanent basis and may require weekend working and occasional shift work, for which the candidate will be competitively compensated.

During the formulation process, a series of dilutions and adjustments are made to the bulk hyaluronic acid formulation to meet stringent product specifications. Reporting directly to Formulation Supervisor, the successful candidate will have experience of a cleanroom environment from either a medical device, pharmaceutical or closely related industry.

The company has recently experienced a period of growth and require a talented individual to contribute to the continued success of the business.

Key Duties:

• To ensure all formulation tasks are carried out in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, with strict adherence to good documentation practice
• Monitor critical process parameters, report, and appropriately document any observed quality issues within the manufacturing area, in a timely manner
• Sterilization of vessels and associated equipment, via autoclave or CIP/SIP.
• Support required maintenance of process equipment and interaction between engineering, suppliers, and contractors
• To be part of day-to-day operations and activities within the production area to ensure production plan and targets are achieved ensuring product quality and specifications are maintained at all times
• Adhere to all Health & Safety guidance associated within the production areas
• Ensure effective housekeeping is maintained.

Skills and Experience:

• At least 1 years’ experience within a medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
• The ability to think logically and multi-task
• Technical mindset
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient IT skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong time management skills and ability to work under own initiative.

Desirable:

· NC/HNC or HND in mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering

Salary: £22,000.00-£23,500.00 per year
