An award winning, leading law firm are looking for an experienced forensic accountant to join their team. The team is seeking talented individuals to contribute their accounting and forensic expertise to a diverse array of intricate and challenging projects. This will include commercial disputes. quantum calculations, bribery and corruption inquiries, forensic intelligence gathering, M&A transactions, data analytics assignments, business valuations, and more.

The Role of Forensic Accountant:
Offer guidance on the quantifiable and commercial aspects of disputes, both in high court proceedings and international arbitrations. This includes preparing detailed loss assessments, interest calculations, and business valuations.
Provide insights into the accounting dimensions of fraud, financial and regulatory investigations, risk assessments, and compliance programs.
Review and analyse financial data and accounts for various purposes
Develop decision tree analyses to aid in presenting legal advice, client options, and settlement evaluations.
Support lawyers and clients in preparing for negotiations and mediations.
Address technical accounting matters
Gather and organise information to support claims and investigations.
Utilise data analytics tools to analyse extensive datasets.
Undertake financial due diligence assessments.
Construct financial models for disputes and corporate transactions.
Interview witnesses and sources related to disputes and investigations.
Draft summaries of work performed and contribute to pleading documents.
Collaborate with independent expert accountants and evaluate expert accountant reports.
Participate in business development and marketing efforts both internally and externally.
Any other necessary duties

The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have a relevant accountancy qualification (e.g., ACA or ACCA) – 1 to 5 years PQE and also Forensic accounting experience from reputable firms (Big 4, forensic accounting boutiques.). The candidate should have experience including commercial litigation, expert witness services, business valuations, and investigations.
The successful candidate will also be confident in using Microsoft , and Visio and also have a familiarity with document review platforms, especially Relativity.
