We are looking for an enthusiastic person with a passion for grassroots football to join our team. As part of the business administration apprenticeship, the successful candidate will develop skills to support and administer a range of services and programmes to Leagues, Clubs and participants. They will also play their part in making football safe by supporting delivery of the County FA Safeguarding 365 Operating Standard.
Key Accountabilities
- Support delivery of a range of Glos FA football development programmes
- Develop skills to carry out football administration across all FA Technology systems (FA Events, Whole Game System, Matchday app, Full-Time and Platform For Football).
- Provide a high level of customer service at all times
- Where appropriate, collaborate with the Designated Safeguarding Officer in matters involving under-18s and adults at risk.
- Help to ensure safeguarding and equality are embedded in grassroots football.
Other duties with include:
- Collating and reviewing Tutor expense claims
- Creating, managing and publishing football fixtures for Glos FA managed leagues via FA Technology systems.
- Developing FAQs, creating e-Newsletters for match officials and Clubs
- Developing skills to undertake and document youth club safeguarding audits and risk assessments
- Creating, circulating and evaluating responses to surveys via MS Forms and Survey Monkey
- Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Check verification of documents for coaches and referees. Entering data on DBS system

What we are looking for
- A person with an active interest in grassroots football and sports development
- A pro-active, team-player with a willingness to develop new administrative and IT skills
- A good communicator with the ability to write clear, well-structured messages
- Experience of using Microsoft products, particularly Word, Excel & Outlook
- Willingness to work unsocial hours occasionally, including evenings and weekends
- The ability to deal with confidential information appropriately

You’ll need:
- sensitivity and understanding for building good relationships
- patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
Desired qualifications
Minimum 3 GCSEs, C and above (or 4-9) to include maths and English or equivalent qualification.

Business Admin Apprenticeship Standard Level 3
SGS has elected to deliver the on-programme learning using the Level 3 Diploma for the Business AdministratorIn addition, learners will be required to select one relevant optional unit.
The standard is assessed by a range of methods to meet all the knowledge, skills and behaviours. Evidence will be collated within a portfolio of evidence. To achieve the full Level 3, all units of the Diploma must be passed, meeting the assessment criteria.
College attendance for the delivery of the Diploma is mandatory for all apprentices.(around 13 half day sessions in total to cover the Diploma).
