Seven Education is looking for a Food Technology Teacher to work on a full time/temporary long term basis from September, The job will be within a well-established Secondary School in Farnborough, Hampshire.

This position will be required from 01/09/2021.

There is also an opportunity available for a Head of Department role for the right candidate.

The role: You will be expected to plan and deliver well-organised and engaging lessons consistently.

The successful candidate will need to be organised and have strong behaviour management skills.

Key Responsibilities: You must demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge.

Plan and teach well-structured lessons promoting a love of learning and children’s intellectual curiosity.

Able to adapt your teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils having a secure understanding of how a range of factors can inhibit pupils’ ability to learn, and how best to overcome these.

To make accurate and productive use of assessment knowing and understanding how to assess the relevant subject and curriculum areas, including statutory assessment requirements.

Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment, maintaining good relationships with pupils, exercising appropriate authority, and acting decisively when necessary.

Able to fulfil wider professional responsibilities such as making a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school and developing effective professional relationships with colleagues.

You must also communicate effectively with parents with regard to pupils’ achievements and well-being.

Applicant Requirements: Qualifications: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) Experience: Up to date subject curriculum knowledge with Experience in KS3/KS4 Compliance: Proof of ability to work and live in the UK.

Enhanced DBS on Update service (Criminal records check) or being willing to complete one and be willing to undertake other Safer Recruitment and safeguarding checks, Covid-19 policy.

Travel: The ability to commute to and from work independently.

Hours: 5 days a week.

Pay: Day rate to be confirmed depending on experience (£110
  • £202.08 per day).
