We are currently making over 1.2 million deliveries every week and in these challenging times, our customers are relying on us now more than ever. As a business we need to continue to do our part in #feedthenation, delivering essential products overnight to customers doorsteps by 7am. This role you will be responsible for the bulk delivery of milk and dairy products to commercial and retail premises with all deliveries to be made within the designated time slot.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 5 Nights per week – Monday – Friday 40 hours per week/ Finish
  • Bulk delivery of milk and dairy products to commercial and retail premises
  • All deliveries to be made within the designated time slot
  • All deliveries are expected to be made in a timely manner and logged appropriately on the ERB (Electronic Rounds Book)
  • The role involves loading and unloading the vehicle and liaison with Centre Operative to ensure all customer orders are fulfilled
  • Ensure that all communications with customers are undertaken in a highly professional and competent manner
  • To ensure, at all times, that service levels are maintained in line with customer service standards. Milk & More strives to Deliver its Customer Promise to all its customers
  • The role involves loading and unloading your delivery vehicle
  • Working as part of the Centre team to ensure all customer orders are fulfilled and correct stock levels maintained and wastage kept to a minimum
  • Responsible for ordering products as necessary to meet customer requirements
  • To ensure Milk & More vehicles are kept clean and smart at all times and to ensure it is operated in line with Company procedures
  • To ensure that Health and Safety and Food Hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times and that all accidents are reported in line with Company procedures
  • To maintain and develop the profitability of rounds whilst on relief and establish where possible business development opportunities and relay them to the Operations Manager
  • To participate in all Milk & More’s promotional activities
  • To undertake other duties within training experience and ability as directed by the Operations Manager
  • You will be an ambassador for Milk & More delivery function
  • To undertake other reasonable duties as requested by the Operations Manager


Challenges:

  • Early starts
  • Working alone
  • Learning and delivering multiple rounds before 10:30am
  • Holidays to be taken outside of term time only
  • Flexibility required when working during non term times


Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence appropriate to the vehicle type (B, C or Class 2)
  • Maximum 6 points on driving licence accepted
  • Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills – you will be instrumental behind a Milk & More delivery which takes place over night
  • Must be comfortable working alone and able to work nights
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role
