At Sodexo, we are passionate about food and we place our patients at the heart of everything we do. To provide a great service, we have a team of passionateFood Service Assistants behind us and we currently have a vacancy to join our great team!
You will be responsible for serving food and beverages to patients, customers and staff with due care and attention. You will also collect and wash up the dirty crockery and cutlery afterwards, always ensuring your work areas and kitchen areas are glistening!
A few things about you
This is a customer facing role so it’s important to have a positive, friendly attitude. You will work as part of a team and will need to have strong communication skills.
Experience working in a similar industry (i.e. food service, catering or hospitality) would be great, but generally customer service and food handling experience will tick the box!
A general knowledge of health and safety procedures is also required, with knowledge of basic food hygiene and cleaning.
Role Responsibility
- Ensuring all services are provided at the designated times
- Ensuring all Temperature controls are adhered to at all times
- Ensuring all equipment is left clean after use
- All areas worked in are left in a clean state following cleaning schedules
- Ensure all company policies are adhered too at all times
- All work is conducted in a safe manner in accordance with Health & Safety GREAT training
Compliance documents are signed by the correct person

- Ability to handle cash and cashing up procedures

- Prior knowledge of working in a food environment
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to use a PC /tablet
Package Description
- 26 hours per week over 4 days rolling week including weekends
- 07:00hrs - 14:00hrs
- Please note this is a 7-day week operation within a hospital
