Summary

Village Green Preserves is a family owned business engaged in the manufacturing of premium fine food in jars since 1983.

We are looking for a broad skilled engineer on a part time basis of approximately 1 day / week to fully maintain all aspects of the site from structural repairs to maintenance of machinery and equipment. Good knowledge of food manufacturing equipment is desirable and the ability to maintain electrical as well as mechanical is essential.

Equipment to maintain includes:
  • Steam cooking vessels and associated pipework and controls
  • Extraction units
  • Pumps and pipework
  • Filling machines
  • Capping machines
  • Labelling machines
  • Shrink wrapper
  • etc

The role would involve working closely with the Technical Manager to ensure all aspects of food safety and hygiene are complied with and tasks are competed in a timely manner.
