Job Description

A position has become available for a Food and Beverage Manager to join our team at our five star Woodside Bay Lodge Retreat on the Isle of Wight!

The successful Food and Beverage Manager will lead the Front of House team to ensure all guests at the retreat receive the five star standard of customer service that we pride ourselves on.

This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a friendly team to help carve memorable experiences for our guests. The successful candidate will manage the Food and Beverage team to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the department. This will include ensuring the team serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, glass collect and reset tables and ensure cleanliness and presentation of all areas.

Alongside this, the successful candidate will ensure all team members are well trained, motivated, and presentable at all times. Team management is key to this role, so previous experience in leading a team is essential. Ideally you will have experience in creating effective staff rotas, stock ordering and working to budgets.

This is a permanentposition to work full time, variable hoursincluding evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

This Food and Beverage Manager role is perfect for anyone looking to get into Hospitality Management positions within Wootton Bridge and the surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities -
  • Successfully manage the Front of House team, including completing rotas, managing labour and stock budgets, completing stock checks and completing all necessary paperwork promptly
  • Ensure the serving food and beverages promptly and efficiently
  • Prompt glass collecting and resetting of tables
  • Ensure the cleanliness and presentation of all areas
  • Ensure accurate cash handling, using Epos Systems
  • Identify and issue any required training among the team
  • Ensure the high standards of the complex at Talacre Beach Resort are upheld
  • Accurate stock rotation of merchandise on shelves and in fridges to minimise waste

What Experience You Will Need -
  • Previous management experience is essential
  • Previous Food and Beverage experience is essential

What Skills You Will Need -
  • Excellent Customer Care to ensure high standards
  • Driving licence and ability to drive is advantageous to enable you to get to the retreat
  • Great leadership skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Positive attitude with willingness to learn
