Do you meet the key eligibility criteria?

In order to be eligible, you MUST meet ALL the following criteria.

  • I am a UK National.
  • I will be able to provide all the ID documents required to complete my pre-employment screening and security clearance.

Job description

Reporting & Offender Management teams are a critical part of the Home Office’s strategic aim to reduce the number of illegal migrants present in the UK and to work with partners, employers and the public to increase compliance with Immigration and employment rules. The Illegal Migration Act 2023 places a duty to remove on the Secretary of State and those cases arriving via a Hazardous Journey into the UK. Those released with a reporting bail condition will fall into the Duty to Remove category for Detention on Reporting activity.

This newly created team will be responsible for the initial analysis and coordination of tasking data from the new Illegal Migration Operational Command Headquarters (IMOC HQ) Flow Management team using database Business Rule reports to identify and prioritise suitable cases, working in close collaboration with the 13 Reporting and Offender Management (ROM) areas around the UK on tight deadlines for activity and changing priorities. Reports and Data collection will be highly sought after in the first few months of this Act.

IMOC Flow Management is a new capability within the Home Office and has been established to regulate the flow of individuals through the entire Border Force (BF) / Immigration Enforcement (IE) / Civil Service (CS) / IMOC HQ system – maximising available detention capacity and thereby maximising the impact of the Act. The capability will allow the Home Office to balance resources, avoid bottlenecks and reduce demand failure in real time at key points within the process by making prioritisation decisions. This role will therefore also support the Home Office’s requirement to meet the very specific timeframes set by the IMA.

This role will work closely with IMOC Flow Management Co-ordinators who will be responsible for analysing recent system performance, reviewing real-time demand and capacity Management Information (MI) in the system, and making prioritisation decision making for process areas.
