Great British Communications (GBC) are a fast-paced business with a huge contract pipeline and ambitious growth plans. Part of the United Living Group, turnover will double in the next 5 years to top £1 billion. We have recently secured a 5 year contract to install fibre to the premises across the North West and Wales, and are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Fixed Line team as we roll this contract out.

As a Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for a team of Commercial Administrators and Controllers and work closely with the Senior Delivery Manager to account and claim for all monies owed from completed works. Your responsibilities will include updating the internal finance and commercial system daily, raising invoices on client online portals, and reviewing queries on invoices from both internal teams and Clients.

The successful candidate will posses the following knowledge and skills:

  • Sound financial and commercial mindset
  • Good level of IT skills including excel, and other Microsoft packages
  • Experience of working in the Telecommunications industry, ideally within a Fixed Line environment
  • Adept at manipulating client tools/reports on a regular basis
  • Business Central skills are advantageous
