Job Purpose:


To undertake the day-to-day support tasks within the Systems and IT department and support users with queries and technical requests.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Be the 1st line support contact for resolving Systems and IT tickets and escalate as required to other team members.
  • Manage and monitor the Systems and IT helpdesk ticket system, ensuring every ticket is prioritised and responded to in a timely and appropriate manner and that customers are kept updated.
  • Manage support with outsourced service providers.
  • Monitor the daily backups and where necessary take remedial action
  • Deal with all starters and leavers ensuring IT equipment is provisioned and dispatched in a timely manner.
  • Creating and deactivating user accounts as required.
  • Comply with Company standards and procedures.
  • Carry out administrative tasks to ensure ongoing Security and ISO27001 compliance.


Competency: Skills/Knowledge/Qualifications:


  • Previous Systems and/or IT Helpdesk experience and exposure to systems, network and user support.
  • Must have good presentation skills and be self-assured in contact with customers both internal and external to the organisation.
  • Ability to build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Analytical problem solver; strong attention to detail.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written English.
  • Desire and motivation to learn and ability to advance skill level.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise workload.
  • Flexibility and ability to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • PC literate, especially Microsoft Office
  • Salesforce or similar CRM system experience preferred but not essential
  • Finance system experience preferred but not essential
  • Valid driving license


Technical Requirements


Knowledge of the following technologies:

o Office 365

o SharePoint Administration

o Microsoft Intune

o Active directory and Azure AD

o Windows 10 Enterprise

o Windows operating systems

  • Software installation, support, and configuration
  • PC and Laptop configuration
  • Setting up users, assigning permissions and passwords and other basic administration on Finance and CRM systems.
  • Understanding of the importance of data security and confidentiality.


Working Environment:

The role will be office based in Magor, and occasional travel may be required
