Financial Controller, Dunfermline, Salary DOE

You are an experienced Accountant who can take a high-level view of any business, understanding and supporting at a strategic level.

You have an excellent eye for detail and a deep understanding of the financial data underpinning critical decision making relative to the operational and financial success of the business.

Working in a finance team, focused on delivering high-quality results, you will be driven to produce effective and insightful financial information.

We are working with a successful and growing company, that is seeking an experienced individual to be responsible for monthly management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, as well as the cost centre function.

What will the day to day look like?
  • Contributing at a strategic level by supporting and delivering on operational plans, policies and objectives
  • Financial and management reporting, including annual budgeting and planning and the preparation of monthly and quarterly accounts and forecasting
  • Managing product costing and cost accounting including variances set up and analysis
  • Supporting the financial auditing of the business alongside setting up and leading internal audit procedures
  • Working with IT in the management of the ERP system, reporting and training
Are you who we are looking for?
  • You will be a Qualified or Qualified by Experience Accountant working in a similar role
  • You will be highly proficient with Excel and be able to manipulate data imported from the finance system
  • Possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail and be confident in liaising across all levels of the business
  • Experienced across accountancy software and ERP systems
