Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Finance Director to work alongside the CEO. You will have exceptional accountancy skills, and commercial awareness capable of leading and developing the finance team.

You will show the ability to identify the best path for the growth of the business and have overall control and responsibility for all financial aspects of the company. You will Analyse results and make recommendations to identify the most profitable outcome and provide accurate detailed financial information and forecasts to support strategic recommendations. This role will report directly into the Board.

Role and Responsibilities

· Reporting accurate trading and strategic information to the Board, to optimise financial performance. Including Profit and loss, by departments, balance sheet, cashflow and forecasts.

· Form a working relationship with the CEO and other senior Management team.

· Contribute fully to the development of the company’s strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision making with financial analysis to maximise profitability and growth.

· Providing leadership to the finance function, to maintain accurate and up to date records, whilst developing the finance team.

· Working with multiple departments supporting financial decision making with senior managers.

· Overseeing departments involved in Purchasing, pricing and debt management.

· Maintaining cashflow, analysing potential financial weaknesses and strengths.

· Implement Board agreed policies and procedures.

· Maintain relationships with service providers, banking institutions and accountants.

· Ensure that all of the company’s financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation.

· Create Presentations for internal and external use.

· Assistance in maintenance of the centrally controlled Banking facility.

· Management of the year end audit process working with external auditors to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards to achieve accounts completion in line with deadlines.

· Integrating Acquisitions.

Skills Required:

· Strong commercial acumen and communication skills.

· Excellent knowledge of accounting procedures.

· An ability to solve problems in a logical manner, thereby rectifying issues speedily and efficiently to strategise and devise solutions.

· Excellent Financial Forecasting skills.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

· Fully Qualified Accountant.

· Experience prioritising conflicting deadlines – including monthly tasks and month end reports.

· Proven experience at FD level, with the ability to effectively manage a team and work towards a common goal.

· Experience of working with Multi Company accounting.

· Industry knowledge an advantage.
