In this role, you have the opportunity to make your mark as the controller of a key area of Philip’s UK&I business. Our Long-term Strategic Partnerships (LSP) are complex multi-year deals, which require high levels of financial control. As the controller, you will be responsible for ensuring quality reporting is available to base business decisions on and this will give you exposure to senior managers and members of the UK&I board.

This role is based in our brand new head office in Farnborough with hybrid and agile working arrangement.

You are responsible for

  • Controlling existing Long-Term Strategic Partnerships, this involves performing performance reviews, deep dives and coming up with margin improvement initiatives together with contract /service delivery manager for partnerships in execution;
  • Improvement projects across the Solutions business to increase data quality and standardisation;
  • Ensuring accurate reporting of the P&L and Balance Sheet for the Solutions business;
  • Understanding all LSP contracts and modelling the financial aspects of contract changes;
  • Consolidating forecasts for all LSPs and ensuring they are reflected correctly in the market forecast;
  • You may from time to time be involved in customer reporting/discussions.

You are a part ofthe UK&I Solutions team who are focused on delivering innovative and transformational solutions to customers in both the NHS and private sector. You will report to the Solutions Finance Lead and you will also be presenting regularly to the Head of Solutions (A board member) and the Director of Managed Solutions. You will work with the rest of the UK&I finance function as well as other stakeholders both in the UK and Internationally.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
  • Hold a relevant accounting qualification ACA/ACCA/CIMA;
  • Newly qualified or with 1-2 years of experience;
  • Attention to detail and the ability to communicate complex accounting issues to lay people;
  • Previous controlling experience is desirable;
  • Fluent English;
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • A base salary between £45,000 - £55,000 subject to your experience + annual incentive + car allowance
