About the role

Our Financial Controller for Carole Nash is the main Finance point of contact for the business. You will have responsibility for the overall integrity of the financial statements and internal controls over financial reporting for the business, and play a key role in our Finance team.

How will you do this?

Joining our Finance team, you will be responsible for the financial reporting for Carole Nash, overseeing the Finance control environment for both the UK and Irish entities. You will be a fully qualified accountant, with experience of working with IFRS and FRS 102 and will be familiar with financial software. Diligent in your approach, you will ensure that all management, statutory and regulatory financial reporting is completed accurately, on time and consistent with the Group’s Business Standards. You will ensure that all payments made by the company are correct and authorised in line with the delegated authority matrix and complete quarterly VAT returns for both the UK and Irish entities working with the Group’s Tax team to tackle questions or complex areas of VAT, as well as our external tax partners in Ireland to ensure all tax obligations are met for the Irish entity.

With an eye for detail, you will design and maintain the processes which translate data for Finance, from supporting systems such as the insurance policy administration systems, HR and payroll systems as well as purchase ledger / expense systems. You will make sure these processes remain effective, efficient and accurate. You will use available data to develop and maintain provisioning models that are in-line with Atlanta’s application of Group accounting policies and will be responsible for ensuring that all balance sheet balances are fully supported through monthly review of all balance sheet reconciliations.

A natural coach, you will lead your own team, developing them and setting clear objectives to create a high performing function. You will support the wider Atlanta business by completing a range of processes that will allow the production of monthly management accounts within extremely tight deadlines. A great communicator, you will work with key stakeholders across the business, collaborating with the central Atlanta Finance teams to outline emerging trends and one off risks or opportunities which could impact financial performance of the business.

Organised and efficient, you will manage the annual statutory audit ensuring a smooth process by providing all requested information, and making sure the annual statutory accounts are filed on time for both the UK and Irish entities. With an ‘audit ready’ approach to producing and compiling work throughout each financial year, you will help to ensure enhanced governance throughout the reporting period.

We are a really successful, growing company, always moving at a fast pace, and this is a real opportunity to make this role your own.
