My client is a successful manufacturing business operating across the globe, with healthy order books. Due to retirement they are now looking to recruit a full time Finance Manager to grow with the business with the expectation of achieving business goals that should realise a position of Financial Director in the future. There will be a 3-month hand over period with the current incumbent.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly Management Accounts to Trial Balance
  • Prepare Financial Accounts in readiness for Annual Audit
  • Company Secretarial Duties
  • Cash Flow forecasting
  • Comparison & Analysis of Actual against Budget
  • Management of VAT return & payment
  • Management of Accounts Assistant/Receptionist
  • Other ad hoc duties as and when required
  • Maintenance and Management of SAP Purchase, Sales and Nominal ledgers
  • Treasury
  • Credit Control
  • Factoring and Invoice Financing Management and Control
  • Petty Cash Control
  • Payroll and Pensions Management
  • Grant applications
  • Company Cars Management and Control
  • Insurances Management and Control
  • Credit Cards and Expenses Management and Control
Candidate Profile
  • Previous manufacturing experience is essential
  • Must have experience in an accounts and payroll role with a broad knowledge of all accounting/payroll processes
  • Knowledge of SAP or another ERP system would be advantageous
  • Good level of IT literacy
  • Positive attitude and capable of taking ownership of tasks
  • Analytical and able to challenge existing process to look for improvements
