Hands on Financial Controller required for Care Home Group consisting of 6 care homes based in the North East.

Objectives and key responsibility.

· Provide a financial input to the Board of Directors.

· Bank liaison and familiarity with Lender Facility Agreements.

· Management of legal and professional relationships.

· Responsibility for all aspects of finance department, ensuring the supply of high quality and management accounts and information.

· Management of Finance staff.

· Management of budgeting and forecasting and cash control reports.

PERSON SPECIFICATION /EXPERIENCE

· Care home sector experience preferable but not obligatory.

· Requires a mature individual who has the capability to:

Command the respect of Lenders

Lead and direct the Finance Department

· Ideally fully qualified (preferably CIMA) although experience or AAT qualified individual.

· Experience of dealing with and reporting requirements of Banks.

· Experience of groups of companies (rather than a one or two company business)

· Experience of multi – site operations and the controls, required in this respect.

· Delivery of improvements to financial processes, controls, systems, reporting and budgeting.

· Driving improvements in profitability, both through cost reduction and through challenge with the Operations Team.

· Experience of cash control and maximisation of cash position

· Working capital control and maximisation of cash position.

· Ability and willingness to “get hands dirty” get involved in the detail where necessary

· Experience of Corporation Tax Computations

· Experience of Company Secretarial responsibilities.
