Key Financial Controller £40,000 pa

As the job title suggests, this is an important and prominent position for us and you will be joining a fun & dynamic team!

Core responsibilities

• Managing day to day accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger
• Responsibility for key monthly and quarterly processes including Payroll, PAYE and VAT
• Coordinating the preparation of budget and financial forecasting and reporting any variances
• Preparing and publishing monthly financial statements
• Coordinating the management of cash flow, debt and debt collection.

General Responsibilities

• Ensuring all transactions are recorded, filed and reported properly.
• Making sure reporting meets compliant standards with statutory law and financial regulations.
• Documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain internal controls.
• Streamlining and improving all operations and accounting systems.
• Supervising and managing finance department staff

In addition, we also want you to get involved in:

• Overseeing the audit process and liaising with external personnel where required
• Supporting the business with financial strategy
• Producing and monitoring key metrics, as required
• Providing support to CFO in preparation of board reports

Qualifications & Experience:

• Educated to degree level
• Must hold professional qualification e.g. CIMA or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in financial management, accounting, or auditing roles.
• Proven track record of financial leadership, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
• Experience with financial software and systems
• Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role, with demonstrated ability to lead and develop a finance team.
• Experience working in a regulated industry or with external auditors is a plus.

Schedule: Monday – Friday. 9am – 5pm.

Work location: Predominantly in office but with some hybrid flexibility

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £40,000.00 per year
