An outstanding opportunity for a Financial Controller has come about in a market leading, fast growth organisation in the North West.

The role will give you the chance to take full responsibility for the companies fixed assets, drive best practice and enhance on the return on investment on all sites across the companies international portfolio. As the financial controller you will have full access to senior management and the board so a great chance to make an impact from day one in a high visibility role.

The Financial Controller will be responsible for the development of a small team, managing upwards to the head of finance and business partnering divisional heads to drive group wide best practice, return on investment and a great hybrid technical and commercial role.

The Role:

· Manage a team of 10, driving their careers with a view of succession planning

· Review of monthly Fixed Asset Registers and Reconciliation to trial balances

· Oversee asset builds, working closely with country heads and project teams on WIP to maximise return on investment long term.

· Business Partner country commercial Finance managers and the FP&A team to develop reporting for Real Estates which are used for our internal business and investors.

· Point of contact for external audit partners.

· Ensuring adherence to IFRS accounting standards and statutory reporting requirements ideally with good exposure to IFRS 16

The Person:

This Financial Controller position will suit someone from a multi-site or property background, where you have been responsible for a fixed asset register, overseen new builds or enhancing the return on investment for each site of the company’s estate. You will be used to a fast paced environment where multiple projects are in progress with additional sites in the pipeline through new build and acquisition.

The financial controller will come from a qualified accounting background ACA / ACCA or CIMA with the ability to develop teams, manage difficult stakeholders and drive continuous improvement in a fast paced environment in a growth organisation with a desire to deputise for the divisional head with a view of succession planning.
