Marks Sattin is working in partnership with an exciting business in the leisure and hospitality industry, based in the heart of Wiltshire, to recruit a Financial Analyst on a permanent basis. This is a great role for a commercially minded accountant with strong data analysis and business partnering skills that is looking to work closely with non-finance stakeholders to understand performance and areas of opportunity.

This role will be paying between £35k and £40k per annum with excellent benefits including study support, discretionary bonus scheme, staff discounts and excellent career progression from a people focused business.

Financial Analyst Role:

This is a true commercial role reporting into the finance function, an opportunity to work closely with non-finance stakeholders, senior leadership and plenty of varied teams to provide valuable information and insight to the business.

From working on business cases and scenario modelling to process improvement and planning for the future, this role is varied and will provide great exposure to a multitude of areas.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Reporting and analysis of performance/results versus budget and historical trends
  • Monitor and analyse variances and trends
  • Report and analyse market trends and competitor information, providing valuable insight into areas of opportunity and risk
  • Build and maintain financial models
  • Create reports and visualise data to support monthly reporting pack
  • Work closely with and actively business partner with operational/departmental leaders

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Studying ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent (non-studiers with the right skill set considered)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and evidence of utilising in a business setting
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • PowerBI advantageous
