The Opportunity

To provide critical analytical and financial reporting support within the Brand Finance team; taking an active role in month end, quarterly forecasting and the annual planning processes.

In addition you will provide primary support to the Sales and Marketing departments, assisting with planning product pricing and brand profitability management, as well as analysing and reporting of advertising spend.

What Your Impact Will Be:

Key Results Areas:
Co-ordinate and manage Local Market Pricing information
  • Support the Brand Finance team in all aspects of pricing and brand profitability, driving the product pricing processes
  • Liaise with the European and International Finance team to ensure they have all the relevant information for cross market analysis and visibility
Ongoing financial support to the assigned Business Team
  • Ensuring advertising accounting processes are completed in an accurate and timely manner to contribute to smooth month end close
  • Analyse media spend and efficiency vs. Plan, reporting on evolution of media spend vs regional guidelines/best practice and making data-based recommendations to the business leaders to improve efficiency of media spend
  • Provision of financial support, analysis and training for Marketing and Sales
  • Help developing ROI analysis & build business cases to support investments in digital capabilities & technology for EMEA/Global sign-offs
Analysing Brand Profitability Reporting
  • Periodic reporting and analysis of Brand Margins
Main Tasks And Accountabilities:
  • Provide critical support in all aspects of Brand/SKU Profitability reporting to both Business units and Management team. In addition, required support to Finance team in the forecasting and planning processes during monthly actualisation and quarterly forecast cycles.
  • Coordinate communication and validation of product costing details as well as managing Direct Import Price List and COL [Country Offer List] with required International contacts.
  • Provide effective analytical support for Weekly Business Unit meetings highlighting business performance versus our financial targets, impact of business decisions as they relate to pricing, mix and margin analysis.
  • Develop/refine Marketing support process improvement requirements; suggesting potential solutions and participation in an agreed course of action and implementation plan.
  • Interact with business units / various departments [Sales; Marketing; Planning; IT] to ensure effective communication and that required information flow is maintained / enhanced; accountable for maintaining systems administration and alignment
What We’re Looking For:
Educational background
  • Actively studying for the final stages/or have recently qualified in a professional Accountancy qualification(CIMA advantageous)
  • Degree educated in a finance related subject
Professional experience
  • Fundamental experience within a commercial finance function
  • Exposure to pricing, promotions and media spend analysis within a business, preferably FMCG
  • Good understanding of all key media metrics, including digital channels (e.g. CTR, CR, CPC, CPV, ROAS)
  • Exposure to media mix modelling/analysis outputs
  • 1-2 years experience within ecommerce or digital background would be highly desirable
  • Experience of dealing with both finance and non-finance colleagues at all levels
Technical competencies
  • Excellent analytical skills gained within a commercial environment
  • Strong systems literacy with an advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Commercial acumen

  • Ability to communicate practical issues surrounding the business to all levels, finance and non financial departments
  • Has the ability to perform using own initiative; co-ordinating across functions and drive processes under time pressure
  • Must be organized, with excellent attention to detail
