This client is a leading American law firm with 20 offices around the globe employing over 1200 lawyers. The London office is their European hub and is a vibrant and busy place to work.

They are currently hiring a Financial Accountant on a 12-month FTC. This role is responsible for the statutory LLP financials, corporate tax returns, VAT reporting and compliance, payroll, client account, Partner payments and SRA and statutory audit functions.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and oversight of the London LLP, Paris LLP, Properties Limited and dormant subsidiary accounts, working between cash and accrual accounting, liaising with professional advisors as required.
  • Accountability for controlling and annually reconciling balance sheet and profit & loss accounts.
  • Management of tax computations for the London LLP, Paris LLP, Properties Limited.
  • Managing the preparation and submission of the London LLP, LBPO and Properties VAT returns.
  • Joint responsibility for all office payments including client account transactions.

Candidate Profile

  • Educated to ACA/ACCA qualified level.
  • Possess an undergraduate degree.
  • Proven in-depth and up to date technical knowledge of financial accounting legislation.
  • Recent experience of preparation of financial statements under UK Gaap.
  • Experience within professional services.
  • Highly proficient in Excel, with excellent analytical and reconciliation skills.
  • Project management skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple deadlines.
  • Awareness of Solicitors Accounts Rules would be of benefit.
  • Experience with payroll would be advantageous.
