We are looking for a financial accountant to join us for 1 year to cover a maternity leave to be based at our offices in Basingstoke.

If you have a degree in accounting or finance and have proven experience in a financial accountant role with SAP experience, we want to hear from you!

What will your responsibilities be within bioMerieux?

  • Control the financial performance of bioMerieux UK (validation of flash sales, sales cut-off, purchases, operating expenses, assets and liabilities, installed base, investments, tax, cash …) in cooperation with the SSC
  • Deliver timely and complete Statutory & Group reports, tax declarations, annual accounts and other legal reporting to local authorities taking into account any tax and local accounting rules evolutions
  • Participate in Budget process & monthly follow-up
  • Support Financial Controller in Monthly P&L validation (Full OPEX / variance analysis)
  • Align current UK Finance processes to Group Internal control requirements (chart of accounts) / Check and analyze sensitive accounts as per internal control procedures (sponsoring, gifts..)
  • Monitor expense claims process with regular checks and support Concur users
  • Be the key user for E-Proc, providing advice and training to other users
  • Support the annual financial audit particularly for all topics relating to P2P, fixed assets and inventory.
  • Support some Administrative tasks (private fuel deduction, fuel consumption analysis, submission on National Statistics…) & any other missions related to Finance & Administration department as requested by the CFO

Who are you?

  • Degree in accounting and finance with experience in a similar role. SAP experience is essential.
