About Our ClientThe client we are working with is a global retail sportswear company who manufactures and distributes to over 130 countries. Their products span from footwear, apparel, sportswear and lifestyle products.Job DescriptionKey responsibilities of the Financial accountant include:
  • Production and ownership of period end management accounts, including prepayments and accruals
  • Preparation of monthly budget cost variance analysis
  • Cash flow forecast preparation and monitoring
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual budget and re-forecast by providing and preparing necessary reports and templates
  • Production of nominal bills issued and reconciliation of inter-office and balances
  • Assisting the Finance Manager with providing comprehensive responses to our auditors
  • Gather and monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenues and liabilities)
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements)
  • Forecast costs and revenues
  • Manage tax payments
  • Organise internal audits
  • Prepare budgets (for the entire company and by department)
  • Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies
  • Conduct detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments
  • Analyse financial trends
  • Perform month-end and year-end close processes
The Successful ApplicantThe successful candidate for the position includes someone who is:
  • Part qualified, fully qualified CIMA/ACCA or Qualified by experience
  • A good written and verbal communicator, with the ability to communicate at all levels in a confident & professional manner
  • Flexible, adaptable and motivated team player with a proactive approach
  • Strongly able in efficiency with Excel skills including advanced functions
  • Organised individual, with experience of working to deadlines
  • Proven work experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role
  • In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures
  • Solidly knowledgeable of accounting regulations
  • Confidential and impartial
