Financial Accountant - Northwich - £40k 6 months We have an opportunity for a Financial Accountants. The successful candidates will have a professional qualification, CIMA/ACCA and will have at least four years’ experience within a finance environment. It is essential you have strong Excel skills (to include v look-ups and pivot tables) and working knowledge of SAP. The Financial Accountant will be responsible for Cost Accounting Monthly standard costing processes. Calculating actual costs and comparing to standard costs in SAP, communicating material variances to the site controllers. Accruals/prepayments Calculate and monitor accruals/prepayment positions and monitor aged items in the balance sheet. Balance Sheet Detailed review of balance sheet position, paying particular attention to classifications and aged/open items. Inventory Delegated responsibility for the balance sheet and liability management of the stakeholder, closely collaborating with the site controller who has overall accountability. Make standard calculations to accurately compile and report statistics and analyse financial information. The Role Involves: Accountant-Ensuring monthly accounts are accurate and revenue correctly recorded.
  • Tracking and analyzing customer margins and driving margin improvements.
  • Responsibility for monthly forecasting and budgeting.
  • Responding to financial information requests from European Finance team.
  • Providing financial reports to management team.
  • Ensuring costs are tracked and controlled.
  • Supporting the Sales team with customer bids. Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in Accounting or Finance
  • Member of an accounting body (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Strong systems/processes background
  • Strong planning, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Proactive, analytical, logical and disciplined approach to problem solving
  • Self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised on own initiative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to converse at all levels
  • Good English language skills - both verbal and literate
