Overall Summary

As part of the Asset Finance and Leasing Team (AF&L) you will support the Finance Manager with monthly financial control and reporting deliverables for the Asset Finance businesses. You will own significant accounting areas for this division and will be required to hone processes and controls to drive efficiencies and improvements through automation using Alteryx and Tableau.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare all monthly deliverables ensuring these are completed to high standards and within deadlines for Asset Finance;
    • Month end process ensuring all monthly accounting is completed by closing of the ledgers by WD5
    • Prepare IFRS 16 journals and other complex accounting entries
    • Ensure costs are recorded accurately and allocated correctly
    • Preparation of monthly flash with variance analysis explanations for submission by WD2 to Bank FP&A
  • Perform analysis to understand monthly business performance and prepare commentary on key monthly variances for the financial statements including income, funding charges and costs
  • Liaise with the business on queries relating to income and expenses at month-end
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations

  • You are a Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrates a proactive approach
  • Ability to dive deep into data, existing processes, people and technology challenges to identify issues and opportunities

IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU:
  • Knowledge of Asset Finance business
  • Knowledge of Regulatory reporting
