What you’ll be doing

Hachette UK is recruiting a Financial Accountant, reporting to the Group Reporting Manager. This is a key role in the Central Accounting & Reporting team, supporting various financial and tax accounting tasks, including; cash reporting, sales reporting, VAT return preparation, assisting with monthly consolidation, and external statutory reporting. This role also helps to support the Group Reporting Manager during our bi-annual budget phase.

Who we are looking for

The right candidate will be a qualified accountant, QBE or part-qualifies studying towards ACCA, ACA or CIMA . They will be competent in Excel; able to understand and explain complicated concepts; be able to deliver to tight deadlines; be inquisitive, eager to learn with a willingness to gain and use practical knowledge and understanding of issues affecting the business where required.

The role will be based at our Didcot office, HHC, with a blend of in-office (minimum 3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week.
