Are you an experienced finance professional looking for an exciting opportunity in the Children’s Service Finance sector? We have a fantastic temporary contract position available for a Senior Business Officer in our Cardiff office. Join our dynamic team and make a difference in the lives of children and families.

Job Description: -

  • Provide an efficient and competent business support service for the Tenancy Services Section within Housing & Communities.
  • Organise and maintain Tenancy Services calendar making appropriate arrangements as necessary for meetings and hearings.
  • Manage the Inbox for the Section bringing urgent items to the attention of the Section Managers, ensuring that it is actioned s necessary.
  • Deal with the correspondence including tenancy references and telephone calls within the Tenancy Services Team, determining which needs to be dealt with by them personally or by reference to other individuals.
  • Assist in the co-ordination of meetings, conferences and events within the Tenancy Services Section and provide a minute-taking service when required, ensuring agenda and relevant documentation is distributed in advance.
  • Work as an integral member of the Tenancy Services Team ensuring good communication is maintained and be prepared to adopt a flexible approach including providing cover for other officers and contribute to the work of the team.
  • Ensure that copies of reports, papers for meetings etc. are distributed promptly and effective communication is always maintained.
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of information as required, including statistical information.
  • Ensure meeting rooms are set up and cleared, collecting visitors from reception, and arranging refreshments when requested.
  • Process, orders, invoices, payments as required and carry out general office duties as reasonably.
  • Maintain a comprehensive filing and retrieval system, work along with the team to meet the targets.
  • Carry out any general office duties as reasonably required including maintaining all necessary records and to providing monitoring information as required.

Candidate: -

  • Need to have relevant work experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill.
  • Need to have previous experience meeting the deadlines.
  • Experience in maintaining the data base.
  • Experience working with figures would be advantageous.
  • Positive and customer focused attitude is essential.
  • Must have enhanced DBS.

Shift:-

  • Mon – Thurs, 08.30 – 17.00
  • Friday, 08.30 – 16.30
