iMultiply are working in partnership with a leading firm in the manufacturing and retail sector to recruit a Finance Manager based near Hillington on a permanent basis.

The Company

Entering its 4th decade, this company is a global market leader in their sector and stalwart example of a Scottish central belt SME business. With clients including some of the largest UK government bodies, this company has a broad range of diversified revenue streams.

The Role

This is an opportunity to join the organisation as the Finance Manager responsible for the management of the group finance function. Using your experience you will support key internal stakeholders in managing their budgets and providing variance analysis to help them achieve their annual targets. You will be responsible for a team of 5, based in their Scottish headquarters near Hillington. There will also be a requirement to remotely manage the finance functions of other UK sites with occasional requirement to travel and attend on site.

Day-to-day you will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
  • Production of monthly management accounts for the two different businesses to extremely tight deadlines, using SAP R3
  • Collation of subsidiary company accounts (UK and Ireland) and submission to group head office ensuring integrity and completeness of the data
  • Reconciliation of management accounts to general ledger, managing accruals and prepayments
  • Treasury Management to group policies and reconciliation of numerous bank accounts and to be a cheque signatory
  • Management of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, bad debt provisions
  • Management of cost accounting, stock control, stock provisions, amortisation of demonstration stock
  • Manage a team of 6 people based in Paisley
  • To advise on best practice to departments using company SAP systems
  • Management of company insurances, pension and related matters
  • Management of company payroll
  • To be the point of contact to support the management of each business in all matters financial, legal, property and company secretarial
  • Ensure that all companies house accounting filing dates and reporting requirements are met and adhered to
  • Management of audit requirements, production and filing of statutory accounts
  • Adhoc financial duties as required

To be considered for the role you must have the following experience:
  • Qualified accountant or qualified by experience,
  • Experienced with SAP and Excel,
  • Manufacturing experience,
  • Available to travel throughout the UK on occasion.

Preferred Experience Also Includes
  • Remotely managing a finance function,
  • Exposure to an international group operation,
  • Full driving license.

On Offer

This Finance Manager role is offered on a full time (37.5h/wk), permanent basis with a salary of £35,000 to £40,000. Working from the Scottish headquarters near Hillington with on site parking, there is limited availability for hybrid working due to the nature of the business. Accompanying the salary is a generous benefits package including car allowance, health insurance and generous holiday allowance.
