Finance Manager (Number one on site).

North East.

c.£65,000 plus car, 25% bonus and benefits DOE.

Cognisant is working with a construction company who is looking to recruit a Finance Manager to support the Managing Director and oversee the finance team. Your role will ensure the timely production of all financial information whilst operating as a finance business partner.

Sitting on monthly board meetings, this is a high-profile role in a highly regarded business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the finance function with accountability for processes & controls.
  • Deliver accurate and insightful outputs in a timely manner. Continuously improving reporting.
  • Monthly overhead analysis vs. forecast and budget Participation at various management meetings, including bi-monthly regional board meetings, sales build meetings etc. Provide challenge and financial analysis to support key decisions. Preparation of accurate and timely year-end stat pack and associated year end schedules Preparation of all Corporation Tax packs and computations Responsible for VAT compliance

You will be a qualified accountant with strong commercial acumen and the ability to analyse and interpret data. You will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to challenge where required.

Property experience would be advantageous but isn’t essential.
