Our Group Finance Team is looking to hire a Finance Manager.You will be joining a busy, highly dynamic, supportive and commercial team, operating from our HQ in Bolton. Reporting to the Financial Controller, and managing a small team (4 employees), you will be part of the Group Finance Department, responsible for 2 divisions within our Group. Your role is critical to our success and you will be a hands on individual, who isn’t afraid to drive change, make recommendations and champion best practice.

The Role:


  • Responsible for all accounting, reporting, VAT and payroll for 2 divisions within the group (payroll will be working with a 3rd party payroll provider initially)
  • Management responsibility of 4 people; leading, developing and providing mentorship opportunities
  • Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations
  • Ensuring the business maintain a strong financial control environment
  • Ownership of the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Lead preparation of the Quarterly Board Packs for Board reporting
  • Business partnering with subsidiary MDs
  • Provide ad hoc support to the Group FD, CFO/ CEO and business MDs


The Candidate:


  • Accountancy Qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or exam qualified
  • Positive, can-do attitude with an enthusiastic and energetic approach to work – a “go getter”
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Confident management skills and ability to manage a small team
  • Confidence to challenge the status quo and suggest improvements
  • Ability to produce high quality work to tight deadlines
  • We would be particularly interested in talking to candidates from a top 20 firm or someone with experience of working in the finance function of a medium to large entity, in the UK
