KSJ Knitwear Ltd is a well-established, family run clothing company trading for over 40 years. We design and produce womenswear fashion supplying major high street stores.
KSJ is looking for a dedicated full time finance manager to take on a broad top-to-bottom accounting and commercial management role and advise on scaling a small business. Reporting directly to the company director.
This role would suit a driven candidate with an accounting background but who possesses strong commercial instincts and ideally experience in the fashion sector.
What are the skills for this role?
- Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent with significant post qualification experience (5 years plus) in a commercial organisation
- Advanced excel skills, Navision knowledge a bonus.
- Highly organised with the ability to plan ahead as well as have a flexible approach and ability to be reactive
- Demonstrates honesty; integrity; reliability; in their work
- Possesses solid written and verbal communication skills with a high attention to detail
- Demonstrates critical thinking, problem-solving skills, research skills, analytical skills and has an understanding of data privacy standards
- Team player with a positive can do attitude
What are the main duties?
- Oversee all company accounts and banking
- Prepare the annual budget and monthly reforecast
- Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts
- Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports
- Support and provide systems and procedures for all retail staff to adhere with to ensure timely and accurate information available.
- Management of fixed assets, reviewing new additions, disposals, capital accruals and repairs
- Complete VAT reconciliations and return submissions by required deadlines
- Manage Payroll and manage the successful outsourcing of payroll to a third party
- Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing
- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
- Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation
- Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
- Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports
- Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
- Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies and rectified
- Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations
- Report to the CEO with timely and accurate financial information
