FINANCE MANAGER SUMMARY: We are excited to be recruiting on behalf of this growing company, who are looking to employ a Finance Manager, in a newly created role. As such, the successful Finance Manager will have the opportunity to carve out their role, and develop it in time, as the company continue to grow. An ambitious, commercially driven character would suit this position and the company. You will need to be confident in your experience, and have the commercial acumen to make the role your own, and work closely with the MD to develop the finance function further. FINANE MANAGER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:-Take ownership of the balance sheets across the group of companies, ensuring all balances are reconciled monthly on a timely basis
  • Month end adjustments
  • Prepare monthly management accounts preparation
  • Monitor cashflow and forecast future trends
  • Daily cashflow monitoring
  • Managing company insurances
  • Financial accounting - prepayments, accruals, journals
  • Working with external accountants
  • Regular review of aged payables, reconciling back to supplier statements
  • Manage, reconcile, and control the sales/invoicing process across all key marketplaces
  • Drafting quarterly VAT returns across the group of companies
  • Ensure accounting software is kept up to date
  • Manage invoicing and payments KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
  • A can-do and proactive attitude to work, using initiative to move tasks forward and reach a conclusion
  • Ability to challenge in a professional and constructive manner
  • Ability to deal with large quantities of data
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working within a commercial business in an accounting function
  • Preferably experience using Xero
  • Proficient using MS Office with advanced Excel skills
  • Preferably ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
  • Experience of resolving queries in a timely manner
  • Methodical, self-disciplined and have the ability to prioritise own workload
