We are working with one of Perthshire’s premier construction businesses with a vibrant and professional office based in Perth.

Due to the recent period of sustained growth, our Client has an immediate requirement for a first class Finance Manager to join their business full time. You will have previous experience working at a high level within a dynamic SME.

This is a fast paced office where those with a can do attitude and willingness to get stuck in from the outset thrive. The role provides a great opportunity to drive the business and support the Senior Leadership team.

The Key Responsibilities Of This Role Will Include
  • Ensure that efficient financial processes are in place to ensure smart management of daily financial transactions.
  • Critically review and challenge operational results to ensure quality of information and detail to support company reporting.
  • Work closely with all Departmental Managers to develop accurate forecasts for the business.
  • Prepare analysis of work undertaken to ensure viability, identifying any variances from budgets.
  • Management of bank transactions and maintenance of cash position.
  • Work closely with the accounts department to ensure effective management of the finance and administrative team.
  • Identify Opportunities for improvement within existing accounts department and introduce streamlined efficient processes to better improve the process and flow of information to directors/suppliers etc.
  • Oversee payroll for the businesses ensuring any issues are identified and resolved at the earliest possible stage.
  • Process and manage salary payrolls for monthly paid employees.
  • Support the Directors of the business with any requests for financial information and continued support with the business strategic plans.
  • Support the external accountants by providing timely information as requested.
To be successful in this role you will be a skilled Finance specialist, Qualified, Part Qualified or Qualified by Experience with previous exposure of working within a similar role. You will be professional and highly communicative, able to deal with and liaise with stakeholders at all levels. Exposure of leading a small finance team or managing a finance function in a stand alone capacity would be considered.
