Job Overview

Role purpose: To support on all key processes for planning, month end and reporting for OPEX and CAPEX (c. €1bn total cost) for Client.

Key responsibilities

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

  • Month End:
  • Run the month end reviews with the OPEX & CAPEX partners.
  • Challenge the commentary and any anomalies in the results.
  • Forecasting & Detailed Budget (DB)
  • Support on the forecasting cycles, ensuring processes are in place to meet group FP&A submissions.
  • Support on the forecast reviews with the OPEX and CAPEX partners, challenging proposed numbers and commentary.
  • Relationship management with _VOIS (shared service centre)
  • Lead on relationship with _VOIS, being a bridge between VBG and _VOIS.
  • Ensure _VOIS are delivering required output, providing guidance where necessary.
  • Process improvement and transformation
  • Develop and lead on the transformation plan to deliver efficiencies and process improvement.
  • Ensure initiatives owners are accountable for holding review meetings and tracking progress against plans
  • Insight and Analysis
  • Prepare insight and analysis on the VBG OPEX to support decision making and senior leadership understanding of the cost base.
  • Prepare insight and analysis on the VBG capital allocation (IRR, payback, returns, PIR etc)

Experience Needed

· Ability to challenge and voice opinions
