About Our Client

Our client is a well established manufacturing business looking to recruit a well rounded Finance Manager to join their finance department.

Job Description

Finance Manager:
  • Experience in building and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Communicate between operational and financial performance with the aim to influence the optimum provision
  • Build forecasts and full year budgets with input from budget holders and to develop recommendations for performance
  • Aid budget holders in understanding financial results and build financial awareness of the operational team with regular communication
  • Be able to identify the best way forward to support the business to achieve its goals by building complex excel models to understand the cost, volume and mix of transportation. You will then be able to use this model to feedback into financial models to further improve their usability and/or focus.
  • Manage the month end process to ensure all costs are booked and results are accurate
  • Explain variance vs budget and last year to senior management and relevant key stakeholders, ensuring understanding, visibility and transparency
  • Be the finance lead on the Change Management process to ensure that costs are minimised, benefits released and fixed asset management is taken into consideration on all proposed changes.
  • Main point of contact for internal and external auditors for queries related to the site.

The Successful Applicant

The role will suit an experienced Finance Manager with business partnering experience who has the following skills/experience:
  • Recognised accounting qualification (CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong computer skills including Excel, HFM and SAP
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to deliver results within deadlines
  • Ability to interpret complex financial data and explain in simple terms
