What does a great Finance manager – Corporate development do?

Travelport are looking to engage in a number of corporate actions involving disposals and acquisitions. This role will be responsible for modelling of the opportunities as well as building and owning robust processes to ensure value is recognized from each transaction. This will include:

  • Modelling of the potential opportunities & markets
  • Project managing the end to end process across all departments
  • Producing internal evaluation packs to optimisize decision making and enable management and board sign off
  • Set up and manage data rooms (where required) for execution of any due diligence
  • Secondly Travelport are engaged in some long term corporate scenario planning. This role will support the modelling and production of this planning to ensure they are as accurate and robust as possible.

This role will play a key role in the organization looking to simplify and focus on our core offering as we look to dispose of some non core assets and optimize our route to market in some countries. It will also enable the company to plan effectively in a constantly changing market place.

This role will reporting into the Finance VP – Commercial FP&A and Corporate Development and will be part of the this team of 12. As the sole role dedicated to Corporate development this role will have significant opportunities to work autonomously and will also gain significant exposure to sure executives across the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Project manage the ongoing M&A activity
  • Data collation and financial modelling of potential disposals/ acquisitions
  • Setting up and owning data rooms.
  • Financial modelling for corporate scenario planning

What we look for/who would prosper in this role?

  • A qualified accountant with significant experience interacting with senior stakeholders
  • Advisory/practice background preferred
  • The ideal candidate will be commercial, personable with strong delivery skills combining the ability to offer vision as well as practical application to a situation. She/He will have exceptional communication skills. She/he is able to create high impact, command respect, and build strong relationships and influence across various levels in the organization.
  • Strong project management skills, able to plan and coordinate multi-functional projects
  • Highly numerate, with a proven ability to manipulate and analyze data to resolve commercial issues
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to influence the business to take key decisions
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to judge situations accurately and quickly, grasping complexities, identifying key issues and applying sound judgment
  • Confident in business modelling and valuation methodologies.
