Summary

Owing to the continued expansion of the business and greater demands for services, Yordas Group is looking to recruit a Finance Business Partner to join our Consultancy Group on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the CFO, you will play a key role in managing the financial performance of Yordas’ business units. As a Finance Business Partner, you will take part in all financial aspects of the operating entities including management reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, budgeting and forecasting. Working as part of the finance team, you will be responsible for the production of accurate and timely financial results, maintaining a robust internal control environment and constantly challenging processes and striving for continuous improvement. This position would suit an experienced management accountant who is able to take full responsibility for all financial matters for the operating companies, while also being comfortable working in a small team. Experience of working in a global consultancy environment would be beneficial.

Role and Responsibilities

Main Activities:

  • Provide timely and accurate financial information and reporting, proactively looking for opportunities to improve reporting and analysis to support the business unit leads.
  • Providing input to cost, margin and profitability modelling and analysis.
  • Building strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders, supporting decision making, by providing reliable data and insights.
  • In collaboration with the CFO and accountants in our operating countries, lead and manage the production of all P&L accounts and balance sheet accounts for the operating companies. Ensure accounts are completed in line with the Group timetable
  • Perform a full analysis of the P&L accounts providing commentary on business performance and explanation of variances to plan.
  • Lead the preparation and management of the annual budget and rolling forecasts in collaboration with the business units.
  • Developing controls and procedures to support efficiency and optimum performance.
  • Support the implementation of a new ERP system across the Group.
  • Supporting the CEO and CFO with ad hoc requests as required.

Profile and Qualifications

Essential

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or a candidate with proven industry experience and strong technical skills and excellent commercial acumen
  • Demonstrable knowledge or experience in working in a global business with different operating entities and multiple currencies
  • Excellent commercial understanding and professional use of MS Excel and MS Powerpoint
  • Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
  • Good Stakeholder Management skills - service orientated
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as being a good team player

Desirable

  • Experience working with and/or supporting the implementation of accounting software (Sage, Xero or similar products) and ERP system (SAP, FinancialForce, NetSuite or similar cloud-based products)
